On this forum there is a post about a pregnant teen and one of a lady who has several children already and is worried that she will not be able to cope with another baby. I am sure there are more stories on this forum. I have lost count of the number of friends I have who are pregnant and yesterday I was working on the gynae ward where 5 people had suffered miscarriages and needed surgery to remove the remaining “tissue” 😦 It was heart breaking to have people who were suffering a miscarriage in the same room as those who were suffering a complication in a pregnancy 😦

I thought it would be a nice gesture to pray for ALL pregnancies, those free from complications and those who are going through difficult times. Even for those who cant conceive and so may be going through an adoption process. Those who may be considering adoption and the babies that are being adopted. Young mums, old mums, new mums and seasoned mums!

Lets pray that these ladies have the support they need, that they have comfort through the hard times as well as blessings. May mummys and babies be kept safe from harm, and babies have a warm and loving family to be raised in. May difficult decisions be as pain free as possible.

For ALL mothers and babies…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

For all pregnancies:

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

I thought this heinous practice didn’t happen anymore.
On par with placing those who suffered a miscarriage in the same ward who had uncomplicated pregnancies and healthy babies.

For all those in pregnancy whether planned or not and those desiring to be a mother but haven’t been able to concieve and for the precious babies we pray. Lord bring Your love and protection to all. Amen.

Until the day I die, I will remember being in the room after learning of a missed miscarriage via ultrasound and hearing the galloping heartbeat of a healthy baby in the next room. My husband was calling our family in the hall, so I was alone. I really wanted to die in that moment.

Praying for all mothers and babies, born and unborn. A lovely idea.
