My wife and I are doing NFP She says she still needs to test if she thinks she’s pregnant. I say we can track it and she doesn’t need to take a test.

Who’s right?

She is. Granted, I don’t use NFP - but just because you were intimate during what her charts (temps, whatever your method is) say, doesn’t mean you’ll automatically conceive. So a test will be the confimation you want. Not to mention, we women are odd little ducks when it comes those darn sticks - we could get song & dance with that little + sign, neon lights flashing, etc. - but we will still take more than one “just to make sure”. 😃

Temperature can be tracked and if it is high for 20 days (I could be wrong on the number of days) then you can verify a pregnancy so technically you do not need a pregnancy test. However, I do not know very many women who want to wait 20 days to verify pregnancy, especially since dollar store pregnancy tests are only a dollar.

Tracking it will give you certainty after 21 days of elevated temperatures.

Testing will tell you for a few bucks about 10 days into it.

Word to the wise: Your wife is always right about these things. Keep saying that to yourself.

And a pregnant woman is always doubly right.

Don’t forget that.

She’s right.

Okay?

If you want to be happy… just sayin’…

Resist the need to always be right.

Got it?

If she thinks she’s pregnant, then she should test.

The way my instructor told me is, if I go 17 days post peak with no AF, assume pregnancy. (Usual post peak for me is 14-15 days). Now at that point I probably would take a test to confirm. But I would be quite certain. I definitely don’t test every month as a matter of course, just wait 14-15 days and AF comes 🤷

So…how long have you been married?

(I’m guessing not long, because if it has been more than a few weeks, you would certainly KNOW by now that the woman is ALWAYS right, especially when it comes to issues regarding her own body…😉 )

If she wants to take a test, let her take a test. 🙂

Now back and reread Liberanosamalo’s post…a woman is always right.😃

😉

You sure?

Because in a month or two you’ll have to accept defeat at 2AM when she says “I know there was chocolate malted crunch ice cream in the freezer and now it’s gone! You have to go get more!”

She’ll be right then too.
😃

As far as the pregnancy tests are concerned:
Dollar store.

Oh and never underestimate a woman’s desire to pee on a stick.

At least rabbits are no longer dying. :tiphat:
