Pregnant after 9 miscarriages

I am pregnant again after 9 miscarriages. I am not sure it is okay to post this here but can I ask for prayer that this baby sticks?

May I ask you to contact Naprotechnology in your area. They are Catholic but offer wonderful advice. My wife was very prone to miscarriage but they placed her on progesterone and monitered her progress with blood tests. This saved our babies.

I posted the following the other day for someone who was concerned about their pregnancy and I will say some prayers for you:

Have faith and pray.

20 years ago, after our second child, my wife had two miscarriages in a row and became very distraught. I now see that there was a reason for that. It made my wife have a conversion and grow closer to God. A friend gave her a Miraculous Medal and she became pregnant again. Our 3rd child was born healthy, and we named her Mary. We went on to have 8 children.

Our Mary is not something of this world. My wife and I cannot recall a single time when she willfully disobeyed us. She was the peacekeeper in our family. Alas, we had to give her up at an early age when she went off to Ann Arbor to become a nun with the Dominican Sisters of Mary at the age of 18. She is a gift of God and was only on loan to us. Of course, I now like to think that I did not lose a daughter, but I gained 80. All the sisters there are fantastic. The only downside is that I get to see her only 2 or 3 days a year.

As a result of my wife’s and daughter’s prayers, they have converted a 51 year old sinner. Earlier this year I joined the church and I just had my Confirmation on Pentacost a couple of weeks ago.

So - my point is, pray, and even if the outcome is not what you want, be patient and have faith. We don’t always understand God’s Plan right away. Oh - and get one of those Miraculous Medals, my wife swears by them and I now wear one every day.

God’s will be done.
 
Please pray to Saint Philomena. I’m in my 26th week now and I couldn’t do this without her.

I read that Our Lady said that “to Philomena nothing is refused.”

I second that. What I didn’t say in my previous post is that the name my daughter has taken in becoming a nun is Sr Mary Philomena.

St John Vianney said of St Philomena that he had never been refused anything through the intersession of Blessed Mother and St Philomena.

You are in my prayers. I would second seeing a Doctor that is familiar with Naprotechnology. I had two children stillborn. I decided there must be something wrong with me. I took it upon myself to find out what was wrong. Dr. Hilgers help find several issues that could have lead to their deaths. One was a very low level of progesterone. Most doctors don’t test for low progesterone and if they do, they stop testing after the first trimester. I would have buried this precious child also had I not sought out the attention of a doctor willing to go the extra to make sure to error on the side of life.
 
Congratulations on your darling child within! Please know that I am so sorry for all your precious losses. :console: I understand to an extent what you are going through, as we suffer from infertility, and it hurts so much. I will pray for your darling child within. :gopray:
 
Hi, I hope that everything goes well for you. My great grandmother lived in Ireland and she had 7 stillborns then 2 live children then another 5 still borns due to a problem with her blood type. I think she had some surgery after the 7th. She felt very bad after her 7th still born and was considering giving up entirely when a doctor stopped her and gave her his card. He gave her treatment and she had two live children and 11 grandchildren, and over 50 great grandchildren. So keep trying and know that your other children are in heaven and angels around baby Jesus’ crib. I only had one miscarriage but I remember seeing an image of an angel after mine. So you’ll meet them all in heaven. Sorry if it depressed you and chin up.
