Pregnant...again...need a pep talk

I heard of a woman that was pregnant with her 8th and someone rudely asked if she knew what causes that. She said something to the effect of, “I do! Do you need me to tell you?” It shut that question down in its tracks and made the rude questioner laugh so it diffused an otherwise awkward situation.

Find a kind, charitable answer for the comments you expect. Use it and move on.

Sometimes, I think people make those comments because they question their own decisions.

I’ve been there with 3 under 3, and 4 under 4 etc. It’s the best thing ever! I’m now ending my child bearing years and do not regret one child!! lol I may not be the best mom but I have the best kids

I wish I could bring you a meal and have your kids over to play, but instead I’ll say a pray to our lady for you. Perhaps this new little one will be the priest that converts and baptizes all those nay-Sayers.

I’m only on #2 and I got the rude comments from family. Although, I definitely got the comments from unexpected people (his side instead of mine - go figure). I know they’re frustrating as all get out. Hang in there - you’ll be great! Enjoy the pregnancy as much as you can (hope you’re not one to get too sick or wibbly-wobbly in the joints like me), cry and fuss when you need to get that release, and pray both for help and in thanksgiving for another little person!
