Pregnant again, so soon?

I primarily nurse my baby (born Oct 16) but he takes maybe about one bottle of formula a day, sometimes no formula at all. So I wasn’t too surprised when I started bleeding two days ago- I thought I was just getting my period. But the next morning after the bleeding started it was already finished.

Do you think it might have been implantation bleeding? Could I be pregnant again so soon? It’s really hard to tell because I never really stopped feeling pregnant- it’s been to soon since birth.

I don’t even know if a take home test would be accurate at this point because I haven’t had a period yet since birth and don’t know whether I should even expect to have one since I am nursing.

What do you ladies think? Should I go buy a take home test?

**Hmmmmmm, take a home test (or several, lol) and know for sure

OR

Not take one and drive yourself mad wondering and worrying

Easy choice for me;):D**

p.s even if the test comes back negative I would get in to a doc and get a check as well as a blood test.

After both my first two children I had a “warning” period before I actually started ovulating. I think this happens most of the time. Mine were shorter than a normal period, too. That could be what it was, especially since you aren’t nursing exclusively (which means you definitely can’t count on delayed return of fertility). Here’s what I would do:
  1. Get out my NFP charts and start charting full time, assuming that the bleeding was my typical warning period. Pray/discuss with my husband about what rules we should be adhereing to.
  2. Wait two to three weeks and take a home pregnancy test to be sure I am not pregnant.

I have my last postpartum appointment Jan 12 (German hospital wouldn’t schedule the appointment until after the holidays that’s why it’s so late lol). I might bring it up then if I am still wondering.

I know what you mean about driving yourself crazy. I think I must have taken 5 pregnancy tests w/ my first baby. I think one would have sufficed had I been patient enough to actually wait for a missed period! Ha ha.

Well…after giving birth both times, I had a little weird bleeding episodes that lasted a day…circa 8 weeks after the birth of my babies. I wasn’t pregnant either time, Could be just post partum hormone fluctuations…

I also had bleeding like this, and actually posted on here for advice. I think in my case it was because I lifted heavy items down several flights of stairs.
I also get a mini “period” before my cycles start coming back.
