Please pray for a coworker of mine who is pregnant with twin girls. One of the girls is much smaller, has tumors and the doctors are sure she is going to die in the womb. She has made it this far and the mother is hoping the doctors are wrong and God will bring her through. The mother was advised by doctors to terminate the life of this little one but she refused to do so since she doesn’t believe in abortion and wanted to give the child a chance. The mother isn’t Catholic but has a very prolife attitude and vastly impressed me with her courage. 👍

Prayers for this woman and her children and family. May she continue to respect life and cling to God for strength and peace. :crossrc:

:gopray: Praying for your coworker and her two beautiful daughters. May I suggest she looks into the possibility that her smaller baby is suffering from twin to twin transfusion syndrome, where one baby gets most of the nutrients from the placenta while the other doesn’t get much at all. There is a procedure that separates the blood flow to distribute it evenly between both twins. This has saved the lives of many little twins in utero.

Sierrah,
I am the father of healthy 10 year old twin girls who were diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome rather early into my wife’s pregnancy. We were also advised to abort one of the girls in an effort to save the life of the other. The doctors constantly told us that one or both of them would probably not live… tell your coworker not to believe it! Only God knows whether they will live or die.

I agree with Catholic Sam that your coworker look into the possibility of TTTS. At the time we went through it, the procedures were very much unproven and we chose a conservative approach and lots of prayer. Things may have changed in 10 years and they may be able to better treat TTTS.

Please let her know that she is in my prayers.

God Bless,
Gary

Prayers for mom and her babies. It seems Dr.s jump to conclusions concerning twins. My 6 y.o. boy/girl twins are now healthy. My son had a small hole in his heart at birth that healed in days rather then months expected. No patchs, nothing. The muscles expanded closing it off. Tell mom to stay strong. Tim

Well the smaller twin also has a heart defect and her organs are not in the right place according the doctors. She told me what the baby’s condition was called I just can’t remember. She seems to be a peace with what GOD decides to do and is hoping for the best. She’s given the little girl a name…Nevaeh…Heaven spelled backwards.

Praying for mom and babies…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

While I believe in being realistic and accepting God’s will, my daughter Elizabeth (the larger twin) was born with 3 out of 4 heart valves defective and congestive heart failure. She now has NO heart problems with the exception of a slight murmur in one of her valves. The smaller twin, Mary, has no real health issues. The doctors wrote these kids off as dead many times, but ultimately God is in charge.

Your friend seems to have the right attitude. We also named our girls as soon as the condition was diagnosed. They appeared on several different church prayer lists and were written up in the newspaper… all before they were born!

God Bless,
Gary
