I have 2 daughters and both are pregnant. The oldest daughter is 3+ months pregnant and no problems. My youngest daughter is 5+ months pregnant. She has been told that she will have to have a c- section because her placenta is blocking her cervis, and there is a chance she will end up excessively bleeding during surgery. There is a risk of death.
Please pray that she and the baby will survive and be completely fine from the surgery.
She is also concerned about the cost. Her husbands and her trucking company is having a hard time because of the economy and they have an insurance they pay alot for but they also have to pay alot for the birth. Also, she told me that she is only allowed 3 days in the hospital. She is scared that 3 days won’t be enough.

She asked me to ask you to pray for her and her baby.

Thank you VERY much,
God Bless you,
Spirit

My prayer goes with you and your entire family. God bless!

Prayer to St. Gerard Majella

Almighty and Eternal God, we thank you for the gift of St. Gerard and the example of his life.
Because St. Gerard always had complete faith and trust in you, you blessed him with great powers of help and healing.
Through him, you showed your loving concern for all those who suffered or were in need.
You never failed to hear his prayer on their behalf. Today, through St. Gerard’s powerful intercession, you continue to show your love for all those who place their trust in you.
And so, Father, full of faith and confidence, and in thanksgiving for all the wonderful things you have done for us, we place ourselves before you today.
Through the intercession of St. Gerard, hear our petitions, and if it is your holy will, grant them. Amen.

Prayed on behalf of your daughter

A Prayer to St. Gerard for Safe Delivery

O great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of your meek and humble Savior, and devoted child of Mother of God, enkindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in your heart and made you an angel of love.

O glorious Saint Gerard, because when falsely accused of crime, you did bear, like your Divine Master, without murmur or complaint, the calumnies of wicked men, you have been raised up by God as the patron and protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me from danger and from the excessive pains accompanying childbirth, and shield the child which I now carry, that it may see the light of day and receive the purifying and life-giving waters of baptism through Jesus Christ

Congratulations for your baby grandchildren. May God keep them and their mothers safe and healthy

Praying for both of your daughters and their unborn babies …

Amen.

May God protect your daughters and their babies and meet their every need. Your daughters and their children will be in my daily prayers. Congratulations and peace be to you!

Great Saint Gerard, patron and protector of expectant mothers, powerful intercessor before God and wonder worker of our day, we call upon you and seek your aid.

Help us always to do the will of God. Preserve Spirits daughters in the dangers of motherhood, and shield the children they now bear, that they may be brought safely to the light of the day and receive the sacrament of baptism. Amen

Thank you for all your prayers and posts. What a wonderful response from each of you. Not only will my daughters be so happy to know you are praying for them and their unborn babies, but I feel a sense of relief to know many are praying for them.
I meant to add…please include prayers for my oldest daughter and her pregnancy too, but forgot, so thank you for including them too.

Thrisie, I like those sites alot and I will forward them to my daughters. Thank you so much.

I’ve already said prayers for her. I, too, had a c-section. It is hard, but 3 days in the hospital is plenty. Just make sure she has enough support at home afterward. Someone to make her meals would be very beneficial. God will see her through.

I agree. I had c-sections with all of mine and even with the twins I was ready to go home after 3 days. Just know that eventhough insurance only pays for three days, if there is a problem and your doctor perscribes further tests, treatments, etc., they will pay for the additional days.

I had placenta previa with my first as well, but it moved “out of the way” after the second trimester. I’ll pray that God brings His peace to both of their hearts and minds.

Thank you for your prayers. Both daughters are having c-sections,however, my youngest daughter has health issues that the doctors told her could be fatal during surgery.
I too had all my kids c-section. I was told I would die and so would my baby. There is a history of deaths of mothers and babies in my family. ALso, this youngest daughter has other health issues besides the one I mentioned that could very well not be good for her and her baby at the time of delivery, this is why I ask for prayers. My ‘baby’ is now the one in danger having her own baby.
I had to stay in the hosptial for close to a month because of complications with my last c-section. So, not everyone has it go as well as you did. My oldest already has one child she needed a c-section for and all was a breeze for her and my grandson because they had no health issues.
Not everyone has a good go of a c-section. I do not want to presume my daughters will both have no problems because yours went well. I prefer to pray and ask God for mercy and put it in His hands.
God Bless you
