I fell down today and I am currently 22 weeks pregnant. I slipped in the rain walking down a ramp. The Baby has been pretty active since then. I think I’m ok, I feel ok with the exception of my back hurting. I landed on my butt and managed to put my hand out and land hard on my wrist to break my fall. I don’t really know what to think or do. I’m giving it all to God and staying positive since I feel ok, I’m hoping the baby is pretty well
protected and I didn’t do any damage, but please pray for us. Thank you.

Praying for you and your baby. Just a suggestion, but you might want to mention this to your doctor so you can both keep an eye on the situation. I pray that you find peace in this and that your baby be a source of joy for you.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Babies are pretty resilient but I would go to the doctor today just to be safe. It is better to be safe than sorry. Chances are the doctor will tell you to rest for a few days. With pregnancies in general you want to keep that little one grounded inside of you as long as possible.

On a side note, my friend (who is also pregnant) and I have a joke with her little guy, the kid is grounded until his due date. Imagine not even being born and he is grounded for nine months.

Hope this makes you laugh,

SG

Praying for you and the baby. Please mention this to your doctor. If for any reason you feel like something is wrong do get help right away. May God wrap His love and protection around both of you.

I’m sure all is fine especially if you have felt baby move since. Might be worth getting a quick check up to be on the safe side if you are uneasy.

I knew a lady who was pregnant with twins (35weeks)…we were rushing to an emergency buzzer at work and she slipped straight onto her stomach. She was fine and so were here baby boys.

The body is designed to protect babies during pregnancies…all that fluid as cushioning and he/she probably didn’t even notice anything happened!

Praying for you! A similar thing happened to my Mom when she was pregnant with my brother. She fell backwards out of our van, and severely injured her back. Thankfully, it wasn’t permanent, and now my brother is a healthy 5’10. 🙂

Praying to Our Lady of Quadalupe for the health & well being of you & your baby.

It’s worth a trip to the dr or labor hall for a double check, but I wouldn’t let it worry you. I fell when I was pregnant with my second child. I slipped on a wet porch and did the splits. I tore some tendons and pulled muscles. It was very uncomfortable, but baby was perfectly fine (I was about 8 months along). When I was pregnant with my first set of twins I got into a pretty severe car wreck when I was 25 weeks along. I gave birth to healthy twins at 39 weeks. Falls can cause problems so it’s best to get checked out, but usually they don’t cause problems. These little ones are very well protected. You are in my prayers, and congratulations on your little one!

Always worth it to just call your doctor or nurse line and report you had a fall, even for peace of mind. Praying for you and your little one…

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

St. Gerard, pray for us!
St. Catherine, pray for us!
St. Gianna Molla, pray for us!
Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us!
Amen.

** Blessed Mother, please intercede for us.
Hold the sorrowful, strengthen the fearful,
mother and love the weary, abused, neglected
or forgotten among us,
give your aid to all needing help or healing,
assist those who are sick, in pain or suffering,
be with those needing peace,
console the lonely or brokenhearted,
comfort the lost or hopeless,
guard the unborn,
pray for those who are dying or who have died,
soften those with hardened hearts,
enlighten those who do not yet see truth,
help us be brave enough to let our hurt and anger go,
show us the way to do the right thing,
protect those who are in danger,
and guide us from every evil.
May all who keep your sacred commemoration
experience the might of your assistance.
Amen :gopray:**

Glorious St. Anthony,
You were blessed to hold the Infant Jesus in your arms.
I come to you now on behalf of Bea
who pleads for the health and safety of the child
that God has graced her to conceive.

St. Anthony, guard this life God has created,
and the mother that God has chosen for this child.
Let your gentle hand, like that of a skilled physician,
aid in her delivery
so that this baby will know good health and lasting happiness.

May her child be favored with the grace of holy baptism,
and grow to love our Lord Jesus Christ
above all else in this world.

Amen.

First of all Big :grouphug::hug1:
My very wise ob explained to me once that, short of a car accident, God created our wombs so perfectly protective that there is nothing to fear in the way of these bumps we get.

Please do not hesitate to call your ob, though, that is what they are there for.

The baby is likely more active because he/she senses your distress. Activity is a good thing.

Now, having said that please let me share with dear St. Gerard Majella.

He really got me through some rough spots thanks to God’s grace.

Prayer: O Great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of your meek and humble Savior, and devoted Child of the Mother of God: enkindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in your heart and made you an angel of love. O glorious Saint Gerard, because when falsely accused of crime, you did bear, like your Divine master, without murmur or complaint, the calumnies of wicked men, you have been raised up by God as the Patron and Protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me from danger and from the excessive pains accompanying childbirth, and shield the child which I now carry, that it may see the light of day and receive the lustral waters of baptism through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou oh Prince of the Heavenly Host by the power of God cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
