Tomorrow I’m going to engage in an online Marian debate with Protestants. I’m asking for prayers that tomorrow, I rationally and patiently speak the Truth in Love and evangelize many to the Truth about Mary.

Glory to God
and
Hail Mary

Praying for you. Do you need any material on any of the great things God has done to Mary?

[Lk1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.]

Immaculate Conception, Mother of God, Perpetual Virgin, Assumption, Ark of the Covenant, Queen Mother of the Son of David, etc…

Mary as the Living Ark of the New Covenant. I decided to do this as part of my 33 day Marian Consecration which will conclude on the Feast of the Visitation. I have pretty good information on this, but I was wondering if you could provide me with any objections Protestants would raise to this doctrine, so that I’m ready for it.

Glory to God
and
Hail Mary

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Ask to Holy Spirit and the Blessed Mother to be with you in your words. Don’t play defense, state truly what we Catholics believe about the Blessed Mother, and keep your cool. Stay above the sniping if it comes to that.

Good luck and prayers said for you.

Shalom

Sorry I can only find two in my notes and one other:

Objection: Scriptures tell us that man’s heart is the new temple of God. This is how He chose to dwell with us. Mary is not that temple, but a vessel that brought forth the sacrifice. You can’t say Mary is the new Ark of the covenant. Every Christian holds the Ark of the Covenant within his heart as the scriptures say. The function of the Ark became obsolete when God made His dwelling within.

Objection: Nowhere is Mary revealed as ark of the New Covenant. Since it is revealed that Jesus is not Himself the New Covenant but the “Mediator” of it, and that not through His birth but His sacrificial, substitutionary death.

Objection: There is a NT verse implying Christ is the lid or covering of the ark. I can’t find it. That would not be a problem as the covering would be over Mary the ark.

Okay thanks, I’ll keep these in mind tomorrow, pray that I keep calm and rational, and trust in the Lord and His beloved Mary!

Praying for you. May they be the good kind, not like so many of them whose hearts are just as filled with hatred and prejudice as the crowd that harried Jesus on the walk to Calvary. Meditate on Luke 12:11

“When they take you before synagogues and before rulers and authorities,g do not worry about how or what your defense will be or about what you are to say.”

Prayer to Our Lady of Evangelization

O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of his Church, we are mindful of the role you play in the evangelization of souls who do not yet know Him. We are mindful of how missionaries came with the power of Christ’s Gospel and committed the success of their work to you. As the Mother of Divine Grace you were with the missionaries in all their efforts. And as Mother of the Church you presided over all the activities of evangeliztion and over the implantation of the Gospel in the hearts of the faithful. You sistained the missionaries in hope and you gave joy to every new community that was born of the Church’s evangelizing activity. You were there with your intercession and your prayers, as the first grace of baptism developed, and as those who had new life in Christ your Son came to a full appreciation of their Christian calling.
We ask you, Mary, to help us to fulfill this mission of evangelization which your Son has given to his Church and which falls to us. Mindful of your role as Help of Christians, we entrust ourselves to you in the work of carrying the Gospel ever deeper into the hearts and lives of all the people. We entrust to you our work and commit our cause totally to your prayers. To Jesus Christ your Son, with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit be praise and thanksgiving forever and ever.
Amen.

Thank you very much for all your prayers, I’m going to do some last-minute prayer and study, and than I’m starting the debate. Please pray for me that I have custody of the mind and always be thinking of God and His love for Mary

For the Greater Glory of God and the salvation of souls!
Amen.

Father,
to honour you, Saint Stanislaus
faced martyrdom with courage.
Keep us strong and loyal
in our faith until death.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
