I’m somewhat used to the usual EF.
What’s different? Can I find a side-by-side for the extras that wouldn’t be in a usual hand Missal?

Off of the top of my head, the biggest difference is that a bishop is involved. A seventh candle is lit on the altar to signify the celebrant is a successor to the Apostles. Other than that, it will mostly be the same. At the end, he may impart his Pontifical blessing.

How would you prepare for it, anyway? What’s to prepare?

I’ve heard that every form of Mass in the Roman rite is derived from the pontifical Mass. Since there’s only one such pontifical Mass. I don’t think there are too many handbooks or guidebooks for it.

I’d like to have the translations of any additional/extra prayers, and perhaps an explanation of the additional symbolism in the things used (burgia, gremail, ect.)

Read Fortescue or O’Connell. Huge amount of preparation, extra ministers, vestments, liturgical books, etc.

Best thing to do is probably just find a YouTube video of one and watch it.

Can I find either of those online?

Additionally, does anyone know what specific changes/additional prayers are made?
I have a side-by-side pre '62 Missal but want Latin to English for as much as I can

clarification

I have found Fortescue, and a Caeremoniale Episcoporum , but the CE is in Latin- are there translated versions in existence?
