So sometimes I wander what it would be like to be a Presbytera. I know in the east rite correct me if im wrong you can be married then ordained but if you were already ordained you can not marry.
Are there any Presbyteras out there what is it like having a priest as a husband.
I’m most familiar with the latin rite but I love learning of other rites. Do married eastren priest have to remain celibate?

In the east rite… you can be married then ordained but if you were already ordained you can not marry.
And if a married priest is divorced from his wife he is then laicized…

Married Priests are often celibate, but do not have to be… They are icons of Christ, as are their wives icons of the Theotokos, so they are committed to holy lives, and these kinds of lives are lives of service to others and denial of self, and worship of God…

That being said, many marriages become fairly celibate after some years - The marriage bed, unless either spouse has sexual issues, normally diminishes over time…

My spiritual father likes to point out that the road to hell is paved with the skulls of priests…

So the Faith is kata hollon, eg according to the whole… And taking on the mantle of iconing Christ as a Priest of Christ, is not to be taken lightly…
