So what’s going to happen under Obama? He gonna stop the Sanctity of Human Life days? Awful if he does, hypocritical if he doesn’t.

This will be the last National Sanctity of Human Life Day.

In this day, all abortion clinics should be closed for holiday.

I did a search to see if there was a thread on this yet. And here it is! It is so important. Just bumping it.

the man who has taken thousands upon thousands of lives decides he thinks like is sacred?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

his presidency will make an awesome comedy one day, and one day soon.

Oh heck yes!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

But I just know Obama will twist the meaning of the day to mean quality of life of born children and the handcapped and disabled. 😦

President Reagan first proclaimed the National Sanctity of Human Life Day in 1984. A proclamation has been issued every year, except for the eight years Clinton was president.

Obama won’t continue it – to recognize the sanctity of the unborn would be above his pay grade. But let’s begin calling the governors of each state NOW to proclaim it in their states next January.

Here is the opening statement from that proclamation:

*All human life is a gift from our Creator that is sacred, unique, and worthy of protection. On National Sanctity of Human Life Day, our country recognizes that each person, including every person waiting to be born, has a special place and purpose in this world. We also underscore our dedication to heeding this message of conscience by speaking up for the weak and voiceless among us.
*
  • The most basic duty of government is to protect the life of the innocent.*
It will be a while before we see something like this again.

This is really saddening. When Obama was elected, I was iterally about to cry for all the children are being killed and keep eing killed if he signs FOCA. Innocent children are being executed for the apparent crime of being conceived. It’s cruel and unusual punishment and it’s unconstitutional.

Interesting. I did not know that.

Using your way of thinking, F.D.R. was probably responsible for taking hundreds of thousands of German and Japanese lives during WW2. This is called war, and people get killed whether you approve or not. Through Obamas much heralded freedom of choice act he will be responsible for many million deaths of the unborn. But we’ll let the Almighty judge his presidency someday.

yes, fdr was responsible for taking thousands of japanese lives. nagasaki was a travesty. also, there was the vietnam war, which of course is looked fondly upon, because it wasnt approved of, btu it was a war! that makes it ok. i think by now my opinion of the war, which is really all about dubya trying to get saddam for his dad (remember, “they tried to kill my dad!”) and he lied to the congress and the american public to do it, as well as allowing and endorsing torture throughout his regime, and he has this smug look on his face, like hes doing good, upholding the “sanctity” of life.

Hey youareyou, you are out of touch with reality.

We have a strong, volunteer military…it is their job to break things and kill bad guys.

The loss of innocent lives is sad… that is why the “innocent” are warned to get out of town first.

Too bad your Obama can’t warn the innocent to “get out of womb” before he condones their murder.

.

I thought that was Truman’s call, not FDR.
correct, but he worked beneath fdr.
when you work for the adminstration, the adminstration is culpable for what happens. if cheney made a decision that resulted in a horrific loss of life thats inexcusable, then bush would also be responsible for it.

What’s funny is that you think the president you put in office, with his three years of senatorial experience, where he did such great things as vote “present” on all the issues he showed up to vote on, can possibly run our country. I bet you even think he’s black!

You won’t be laughing when he signs FOCA into law and your daughter has an abortion without you even knowing about it. You won’t even get to vote “present” on that one!

Yes, but FDR was dead at this point, how can he be held responsible?
