Valid point. Every day spent arguing Healthcare is a day spent getting closer to Nov. 2010 and a reining in of Pelosi rule.While I am staunchly pro-life, I am ambivalent to the Stupak amendment. First, if it stays in the Senate version, then liberal senators will not vote for it. That’s fine; I do not want ANY government socialist-style healthcare.
Second, if they remove the Stupak amendment, they many moderates and conservatives will not vote for it. That’s fine; I do not want ANY government socialist-style healthcare.
Third, the Stupak amendment is not completely pro-life, since it has an allowance provision for rape/incest.
So let the two sides tear each other apart over this thing. And next time, keep out of my family’s healthcare decisions altogether!
