Thanks for posting. I don’t understand why the Vatican is so silent on this issue. The deal seems to have backfired in every respect.

I think the backlash will have to grow in order for the Vatican to change course. Otherwise the people in power who support this pact will never admit that they made a bad deal. They will push forward no matter how obvious it is that it is a failed agreement.

I’ve heard that too. It wouldn’t surprise me considering how much power he seemed to have amassed.
