I’ve been having trouble defining this whole thing about pride as a sin. I can’t determine if I would fall under that category for feeling good about myself, because I believe I have a lot going for me.
This is what other people have said about me: I’m attractive, smart, friendly, I have a strong faith, and that I am a “good person”. Naturally, this makes me happy, but I don’t see myself as some all-holy white knight. I keep it in perspective, knowing that I don’t even compare to God.
So my question is: is it immoral to think of yourself as a “good person” based on what someone said about you? Does that fall under the umbrella of “Pride”?
