Wow. Shut up and pray is how i interpret this.
No one here is determining anything Father. Neither you nor I. Simply stating our perception of the Church and world around us.
Just as Latin Rite members have numerous opinions on Eastern matters, Easterns have opinion on latin matters. If not, lets pitch 90% of the CCEO since it was written in a manner to conform to the CCL. Not to mention latinisms throughout various Eastern Churches, including facing the people at Liturgy (Maronites, Malabars), Latin devotions quasi publicly prayed (all Eastern Churches to some degree), EMHC (showing up more and more in the ECs to imitate Latins), etc. Or is this now a "shut up, pray, and conform to your hierarchs allowance).
Its interesting what people percieve as what VC2 stated, vs what VC2 actually stated. I believe than historically it has taken the church 50 to 100yrs to correct/implement itself toward Conciliar decisions. That correction/implementation is now ongoing. It remains to be seen where we will be in the next 30-40. The extremes and excesses will fade slowly, as they are showing to now.
