Nope, I’ve seen priests using the OF who wear the biretta as they process in and out of low mass on a weekday. As well as priests who are assisting at mass in the sanctuary, (not con-celbrating or serving) who dress in cassock, surplus and biretta putting it on when sitting, doffing it when the name of our Lord or Lady, or the Saint of the Day are mentioned.
There are some items which are not covered in the rubrics, i.e. holding the index and thumb together after the consecration, which one can observe that I was referring to. Since I see no difference in the effects of any Mass following the rubrics, EF, OF, or any of the other Western or Eastern Rites I simply used traditional manner as shorthand.
