One of the priests at my parish was celebrating the Saturday Vigil Mass, and after his homily began to talk about how important it is for parishioners to financially support the parish. I knew that this was going to turn into a 10 minute request for donations in light of Advent and Christmas; and it was. Did the priest commit a liturgical abuse by essentially interrupting the Mass?
