It seems as Satan is attacking the Sacraments on every front: the Eucharist, marriage, and now confession. Lane County DC in Oregon committed a shameful sacrilege. I assured a priest that hears confession in a similar situation that the same would never happen. I keep the priest under watch, for safety, but out of sound range, and the penitent facing away from the officer watching from another room.

My prayer for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and resolution of this dilemma regarding all people and all institutions and matters concerned.

In this complicated and conflicting world, may God’s holy will and purpose be fulfilled, and may the sheep of the Good Shepherd always be protected by His love, justice and guidance. Lord hear us.
