Just got this link (mobile.news.com.au/national/priests-could-be-ordered-to-report-confessions-of-sex-abuse-to-police/story-fncynjr2-1226428524648) from Fr. John Zuhlsdorf’s blog --if you don’t trust the link just google his blog and look at it-- that is talking about how Australia may tell priests that they must tell authorities of crimes (especially sexual crimes) in confession! Also, that Bishops may be punished whenever the priests of their diocese commit child abuse! Pray, pray, pray!!! We need prayers for this. Also! Vote “NO” at the bottom of the page! We can’t let confession and prayer become a means of destruction! It is a sacrament of healing and reparation! Not a sacrament of ratting someone out.

Our Father
Who art in Heaven hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth
as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily
bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us, and
lead us not into temptation but deliver us from
evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed
art thou among women and blessed is the
fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother
of God, pray for us sinners now and at the
hour of our death, Amen.

St. Joseph, pray for us.
All holy angels and saints, pray for us!

It’ll never happen. Priests will never reveal what they hear in a confession.

Punishing Bishops for things priests do is an unjust law. What if your neighbor commits a crime and the law punishes you.
