There can be a reasonable ‘admiring’ of the beauty of a person who is not your spouse. Even if one is married. Beauty is a great gift.But is it a sin to “admire” the beauty of one who is not your spouse? That’s what I want to discuss, and the main reason for which I started this thread.
A good example is seeing a beautiful face stand out in a crowd.
Of course can also a sinful looking…
and there can be a real danger… and even a near occasion of sin…particularly with certain recent trends in immodesty (especially one need be aware of concupscience … many underestimate such)
and a need for a reasonable custody of the eyes (custodia occulorum)…and of course custody of the heart.
