I’m putting out a prayer request for priests in jail. I really can’t stand how the intrusion of law enforcement couldn’t just have them sent to the Vatican and be dealt with there. It’s ruined the faith for a lot of people and I’m not going to be someone who puts that on them. Also, this prayer request is for additional holy people who get targeted additionally and more often because they are pretty high on the devil’s “going to mess with / mess up the lives of” list. I hope for the intervention of Saint Dismas in their peaceful transition to non-civilian prisons if our world can ever accept that. This also goes for Jewish Rabbis (Jews for Jesus) and Israel.

I don’t think there a lot of priest in jail unless they are under a restrictive government rule in a foreign country. Those that are in jail in free societies are incarcerated for serious offenses. They would not be considered to be above the law. However, when a priest does do something aggrievious it will make headlines and the Church will be judged for the actions of a few. This not to make excuses for what has happened in the past or any ‘cover ups’ but the Church is actively trying solve these incidences in spite of what bad press may say. Prayer to St. Alexius

Dear St. Alexius, you were born nobly to a Roman Senator and felt the call to belong all to Christ. With the help of your betrothed, you escaped the city and the future planned out for you and became a beggar on the city streets. After many years, you were so well known for your sanctity that you had to flee back to Rome, but you were never recognized by your family until your death. You gave up everything for God and lived so my and humbly, teaching the catechism to those you came in contact with. Help all of us today who live in materialistic society to live more simply and submit humbly to God. Pray that we find find our vocation as God wills it, that the call will not be deafened by our busy lives, our noisiness, and our weaknesses. I especially ask you to pray for all the intentions posted here this day, for those for whom I am obligated to pray, and for my family. Amen.

I am praying for all priests. Do I need to announce it to the world?
