Priests who have been on leave for years

I keep reading in article comments and such that people know of priests who have been put on administrative leave while some investigation takes place. Some of them have been on leave for up to 6 years I’ve seen. Who are some of these priests? Anyone know of any? Sometimes those stories might not get national news.
 
 
When I was nursing I came across some of those you mentioned about being on leave…there are people in religion who have ill health physical and mental…not necessarily both.

In religious orders these unfortunates were often cared for quietly and with descretion. The fellow I recall was very very odd, and it was sad to see him…I cannot imagine he exercised any aspect of his priesthood, but I was incredibly impressed by the 2 religious who were his carers.

So the long and the short of story is that not all people on leave are being investigated for alleged criminal activity, and it is a shame if the public think this is the case.
