in practice, every “sola scripturist” denies the sole sufficiency of scripture. how you ask?? well, i’ll tell you. because it is ultimately THEIR INTERPRETATION of scripture that is the sole sufficiency of their faith. it is not the actual bible, but how they interpret it that is the sole rule of faith for them. they, in a sense, become a 1 man denomination with themselves as pope. in actual practice, he adheres to prima scriptura, he would just have different authorities than the catholic church does when applying secondary ones.

Which is where I was going with my original post before I was corrected in getting Sola Scriptura and Prima Scriptura mixed up. Sola Interpretura (??)
