Britain’s Prince Charles has warned that Christianity might be entirely erased from the land of its birth in the Middle East within five years.
Their suffering is symptomatic of a very real crisis which threatens the very existence of Christianity in the land of its birth," Charles said at the Archbishop House in central London, reported the Express on Thursday.

The Royal Family could have helped by speaking out on moral issues like abortion and gay marriage. After all, they are supposed to be the Defenders of the Faith! They could have been less accommodating to the massive Muslim invasion of their country. They are just as culpable as anyone else.
I wonder how much pull they actually have anymore. They seem to be relegated to the covers of supermarket rags than anything else.

For goodness sake, read the article. He is talking about Middle East, the land of the birth of Christianity - not the UK (which incidentally is 61% Christian and 3.7% Muslim)

He should be concerned about his own country.

Oh yes, I forgot to hide my Pannettone as I walked the streets! 😃

And of course, no-one would want to talk about the queues for carol services and midnight masses, the Christmas lights, and (shock horror) midnight mass and Christmas day services on the BBC.

It is indeed and one that gets shoved to the sidelines too often in the debates about the middle east.

Isn’t Israel the land of Christianity’s birth? Israel should allow immigration of Christians - maybe take some of the Christian refugees from Syria/Iraq. Israel’s evangelical Christian donors could easily fund accepting Christian refugees (they are mainly funding Jewish settlements right now).

Prince Charles has never really made much of an impression on me until he has shown a keen concern for Middle Eastern Christians and how they are being persecuted. I am encouraged that he even cares that Christianity might disappear from the place of its birth. I wish the leader of my country were as concerned. Prince Charles has a deeper spiritual life than I imagined.

I just read some of your other posts. I always saw Prince Charles as rather aloof myself. Perhaps being a grandfather now and wondering what England will be like when William is king is making him take more of an interest outside his garden anyway which we heard about in the news many years ago.

yes I know he has done many good things, but my image of him was tarnished during the Diana days ( not saying she did not have some culpability).

Yes, it’s wrong to comment without reading the article, but the two of you mocking that poster really doesn’t shine a glowing light on you either. I’m just saying…

This I agree with , Israel should allow Christian refugees to live there

John 13:35
By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

I agree. Not only is it against CAF rules, but it’s a main reason why CAF posters leave and don’t return. Posters shouldn’t encounter the same level of uncharity that is common in the run of the mill secular forums.
