Prince Harry and Meghan

There are estates and properties that the Queen and other royals privately own - inherited through the generations. I don’t think she would need to earn a living if the monarchy was suddenly abolished (putting aside the fact that Her Majesty is in her 90s). Regardless, I believe Prince Harry, the subject of this thread, works as a helicopter pilot.

Tradition (small t) holds that it’s less rather than more.

“Religious bigotry” tells me you don’t know what ‘bigotry’ means, but if you mean I am a religious supremacist, I’d have to agree. My religion is better than everyone else’s.
In other words, you’re making the empty claim I asserted you were:

@thistle: “No one outside the Church is saved!”

@Gorgias: “umm… who’s outside the Church?”

@thistle: “No one.”
Why misrepresent what the poster actually said? Bad attitude.
They and the religious bigots on this thread will have a lot to talk about down there!
I’ve noticed this tendency lately, where the only real sin is actually being Catholic instead of worshipping Nice. Very interesting.

That we all work to bring every man, woman and child to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus and His Church. We begin by speaking the truth that marriage is for life.

ETA And the Tribunal will review any marriage.

Its against British law for the monarch to be Catholic. If Harry and Megan raised their offspring as Catholic, they’d probably scratch Harry from the line of succession.
“The Succession to the Crown Act 2013 allowed heirs to the throne to marry Catholics, among other changes. However, the law still stipulates that the acting British sovereign mustn’t be a Catholic.”

Although her family has Catholics in it, it doesn’t seem to be known whether Megan Markle was ever baptised Catholic. She is a Protestant and plans to be confirmed into the Church of England.

As far as I know, no one who has ever been Catholic can inherit the throne. Still, if Prince William were to have one more child then Prince Harry would be far enough down the line of succession that he would no longer need the permission of the monarch to marry in order to remain in it.

Haha good one!
We could definitely use some honest living to go around…

I’ve been looking for a job for years with a high salary and no measurable goals

Peace!

And here I am, sadly all out of rich uncles to leave me their millions

And no, I do not want to see little old ladies thrown out on the street😏

I have about the same level of interest in Prince Harry and Megyn as I do in Kim and Khloe Kardashian and whoever they’re marrying this week. I do like to see the wedding gowns and the pomp of a royal wedding, and the hats.
I like to see the pomp of the royal weddings, too. And since I like clothes, but don’t have buckets of money, I like to see what everyone is wearing who does have buckets of money. I watch the “stars” enter the Oscar venue for the same reason - to see the gowns and jewelry. Then I turn it off because I don’t care who wins what. LOL

I did feel very bad when Princess Diana died. She seemed a kind and compassionate human being. She brought a lot of awareness to suffering and the need to help those in pain. From my limited vantage point, I think she was a good person.

I know. Meghan said she’s never been baptized! I think she and her parents would know.

Thinking of all the people I know, most of whom are not Catholic, and I’m bummed that they’re all going to go to hell. 😶
I know the feeling. I have many wonderful, generous non-Catholic friends, too. Even some family members! Kind of puts a damper on the start of 2018 finding out they’ll all be in hell. 😭

I’m sure they are so degenerate that the way their behaviors affect public perception of their nation and people means absolutely nothing to them.

I’m also sure the world is so degenerate that they worship the celebrity and thus the affair is only alluring because it is sordid.

I wonder what would happen if the CofE held the same attitudes as it did with Wallis Simpson and the subsequent abdication crisis. Would Harry be forced out of the line of succession?

“Marriage”

I think you mean fornicative/adulterous relationship.
So you seem to see degenerates everywhere…
Pretty much. We’d make a Gomorrahn blush.

Your turn of phrase is unpleasant and your attitude uncharitable. A poor advertisement.

I know. Someone kept saying they can’t marry Catholics. I was just pointing out that of course they can marry Catholics; they just can’t be Catholic, to my knowledge. In some of the Scandinavian countries, they must be Lutheran. It’s all moot, I think, since Duchess Kate’s new baby will bump Harry to sixth place, seventh if she has the twins some say she’s going to have.

No, as she has not been baptized, even if she had not married before it would only be a natural marriage.

Yes, but under the moral law given to all men. The Decalogue and the laws of Christ apply to every human.

ETA just like “you shall not kill” and “you shall not steal” apply to every man, woman and child. The law of marriage is universal moral law.
