Private/personal sin

I’m looking for a quote by JP2 that I am having a very hard time finding. It goes something like this - there is no such thing as private sin. All sin effects others.

Anyone know where I could find that?

This quote comes from an Apostolic Exhortation written by Pope John Paul the Great called Reconciliatio et Paenitentia, written in 1984.

The line appears in a section where the Pope discusses personal sin and social sin. It reads: To speak of social sin means in the first place to recognize that, by virtue of human solidarity which is as mysterious and intangible as it is real and concrete, each individual’s sin in some way affects others (no. 16).
