Pro-Abortion Obama Health Care Bill Takes Major Hit, Proposition C Passes

Jefferson City, MO – The pro-abortion health care bill President Barack Obama signed received a major blow on Tuesday from voters in Missouri. They voted overwhelmingly to reject a federal mandate to purchase health insurance – important because some of the plans in the program will pay for abortions with federal funds.

I was following the returns last night… it passed by 70% !!!

Pretty awesome from Mo. which is a bellweather state for the entire country.
 
No state can “undo” a federal law. Missouri can pass all the initiatives it wants, but it has no bearing on the federal law. If this was the case, a state could decide that kidnapping, for example, is not a federal crime or that treason is not a federal crime. We live in the “United States,” if a person doesn’t like the law, then they can work on changing that law. They can not disregard it.

Might be. But it is likely to make Robin Carnahan and Claire McCaskill sweat, and ought to. McCaskill, particularly, is so joined at the hip with Obama that I’m sure she’s glad she doesn’t have to run again this year. Hopefully, though, people will remember.
