We have some crazies in our church that would rather woman die from complications than allow even very rare abortion.
Well, of course! We know that abortion does not involve treatment for complicated pregnancices. Pro-life folks want women to get the help and treatment they need to be healty, happy and whole. Someof us have worked with the victims of abortion enough to know that they suffer greatly after they take the life of their child. When they do it for selfish reasons, even more so.
So your last ten posts were a waste of time. You don’t care if abortion saves women or not. Rather disingenious of you to pretend that you did for the last hour and a half.
Toomey, I am sorry you feel that you have wasted your time here. I was hoping that you could get to the point where you could grasp that there are medical treatments for complications, and abortion is not one of them.

Abortion does not save any lives, it only takes lives. Medical treatment may save the life of both the baby and the mother.
Sorry to come here in challenge your extreme views on abortion. Does this site isolate you from discussing these matters with or without your approval.
this site forbids the disrespect for the Church you have demonstrated, namecallling, condescension, and insults.
And what is threatening a ban from the discussion if not cowardice.
Like our posts on the evils of abortion, we are trying to warn you before you inherit a consequence you may not want.

Apparently I’m the only one who would defend a woman’s life if a pregnancy would kill her.
Doctors don’t agree with you that abortion is the option, though.

More news for you: Abortion is never necessary to save a woman’s life.

Four hundred and eighty physicians have signed a public declaration stating: “I agree that there is never a situation in the law or in the ethical practice of medicine where a preborn child’s life need be intentionally destroyed by procured abortion for the purpose of saving the life of the mother.”

Still here? I got your point. You don’t care whether or not abortion can save lives. Intentions not circumstances right?

More “reality” I suppose. Didn’t a nun in Arizona just get in trouble for approving an abortion in her catholic hospital to save a woman’s life? Like I said before, its a moot point because even if it were able to save a woman it wouldn’t matter to you. So you’re concern is disingenious to say the least.

Is guanophore still here? with 20,000+ posts? Yep - he’s still here.
Is toomey still here? with 50-some posts? Yep. So far, he’s still here.

“A nun” in Arizona: excommunicated for her approval of abortion.
“A Catholic” hospital in Arizona: now no longer Catholic.

Makes you feel good that she got punished for allowing an abortion that saved a life doesn’t it.

Now it’s my turn to “Lol” because obviously you have not been paying much attention to this thread. And why have you ignored my last two posts which I believe had a lot of bearing on what my “concern” would be?

I think you are just trying to win a debate.

I’m more reminded of the distressing child who can’t
get enough attention to suit him so he settles for any attention at all.

Good attention, bad attention - it no longer matters to him/her.
The demand is for ATTENTION at any cost.

Still here, I thought you wrapped up quite nicely with “i oppose abortion b/c the pope says so regardless if women could die”.
The Church supports treatment for complicated pregnancies, not the wanton elimination of unwanted other human beings. Abortion was considered wrong long before we even had a pope.
Apparently I’m the only one who would defend a woman’s life if a pregnancy would kill her.
No, we are all on board with treatments to save the mother’s life.

You may be the only one here that is willing to slaughter the innocent to achieve your goal.
Everybody who is reading this and laughing at you. Trust me on that one.
Maybe that is true for the people standing in front of YOUR keyboard, Toomey, but not for the rest of us. Most of us here are disappointed and put off by your disrespect for the Church, the Holy Father, and the Eucharist. And that doesn’t even touch your disregard for innocent life slaughtered at will in the mother’s womb.
Still here? I got your point. You don’t care whether or not abortion can save lives. Intentions not circumstances right?
Abortion cannot save lives. It is never necessary to intentionally rip innocent life out of the womb.

I heard some noise about that, but I am not familar with the details. It is true it would be a terrible scandal for a nun to support an abortion.

You might want to go back to # 717. There you will find one of the reasons that I don’t.

No, I don’t feel good about anyone’s sins, or the consequences of them. The whole point of this thread is to prevent people from falling into the punishments due to sins.

Maybe you don’t realize that a Catholic who participates on enables an abortion excommuncates herself? you make it sound like the punishment came from someone else. It is built into the act itself.

Truthfully I’m just bored not really trying to win anybody over especially folks who have views as extreme some here. Honestly, i know that you think you are doing good. But in your zeal innocent people are going to be hurt. I am not going to try to convince you that abortion can save the lives of some women because we both know that you really don’t care if it can or can’t. So what’s the point?

You’re such a phony. You wouldn’t care if abortion could save a woman’s life. You said it yourself. So why keep going back to whether it can or not?

The site is Catholic Answers.
The idea that one would post to mock
the Faith, to mock the Church, to mock others is chilling.

Attention-seeking is an addictive behavior for some, esp for the young.
To imagine that one can excuse one’s own insults by claiming “boredom” is low.
