I’ll give her this. She is honest in her views. Yes its a life but I do care. " All life is not equal" She says
When we on the pro-choice side get cagey around the life question, it makes us illogically contradictory. I have friends who have referred to their abortions in terms of “scraping out a bunch of cells” and then a few years later were exultant over the pregnancies that they unhesitatingly described in terms of “the baby” and “this kid.” I know women who have been relieved at their abortions and grieved over their miscarriages. Why can’t we agree that how they felt about their pregnancies was vastly different, but that it’s pretty silly to pretend that what was growing inside of them wasn’t the same? Fetuses aren’t selective like that. They don’t qualify as human life only if they’re intended to be born.
Yet a fetus can be a human life without having the same rights as the woman in whose body it resides. She’s the boss. Her life and what is right for her circumstances and her health should automatically trump the rights of the non-autonomous entity inside of her. Always.
. “A life worth sacrificing.” That’s the last line of the article -“A life worth sacrificing” This is the culture of death - this is The Father of Lies at his finest.

How so very sad. I wonder if she feels her life was worth anything when her mom carried her.:crying:

Indeed. Woe to those that have bought the lie. We can only pray for their repentance, as I am sure the aborted ones are doing. ( see below)

Pro choicers will not stop being mad until they deemed correct. and have tax payer money to fund their ill conceived choice.

They** need** to channel all that anger. For in truth their anger is at themselves for committing murder. Ergo they need the defense mechanism of displacement.

Do you mean mad-insane, or mad-angry?

Because this columnist doesn’t really sound very angry at all. She sounds confident in her viewpoint, but…not angry.

And she is really talking about more herself and her own experiences and feelings in this column, I think.
I don’t understand your use of plural in your subject line?

.
I meant insane. However her tone when she talks about the pro life movement does remind me of other political groups angrily complaining.

It is a treatise on how to permit oneself to harden one’s heart, complete with “blunt” and self-congratulatory rhetoric. There is nothing in her argument that couldn’t be used to support the Roman practice of elective infanticide, especially for a special-needs child. I’m sure she’s very proud of herself. I can only hope that someone who was formerly pro-choice will paradoxically find that this piece was the eye-opener that changed them by exposing the hidden hard-heartedness in their former rationalizations.

Praying for repentance is really all that can be done because her heart is probably hardened. A lot of people are “pro-choice” out of the fear that outlawing abortion will do more harm than good. This woman doesn’t seem to care if that is the case or not. She just wants the woman to have that right.

This woman has fallen into Satan’s trap. America needs to close the door on sin. How can she believe these lies? I will pray for her and her misguided children.

That was a tad confusing, Ed - I thought you meant the Salon article was a hoax. Sadly, it isn’t; it’s not the first such sentiment I’ve heard the newer, tougher pro-choicers make these days. When I go to the beauty salon, I read the magazines I would never buy - Cosmo, Vogue, Glamour, and their ilk. It’s sort of a “know thine enemy” exercise with bonus fashion tips. (And in case anyone’s wondering, I skip the how-to artlcles on sex. I promise.)

Seriously, though, I have read articles like this re abortion in those trashy mags, and picked up a bit here and there online as well. My radical feminist so-called “sisters” are getting more bold and proud; some of them no longer try to keep up the masquerade of “choice” - they admit it’s killing, but they try to make a case that it’s justifiable killing. Pathetic. 😦

Indeed. the ‘truth comes out’ for the Pro - Choicers. Life is cheap to them. Don’t meddle with careers of women, apparently.

What more can I say? Just how far do we have go to protect a woman’s ‘feelings?’ What about the woman’s feelings in the womb? (Of course men’s feelings are irrelevant- yes? Inside or outside of the womb. yes?)

Thanks for the pics. These people need our prayers.:o:highprayer:

God bless.

I think most pro-choice people don’t quite feel the same way this woman does.

.
True. But they still allow the murder of children for their own convenience. To be fair though, most of them are quite sane.

Pro-choice people are espousing the murder of innocent babies in the womb. It doesn’t matter what they feel, they advocate for murder.

Ergo, they are insane, to their core.

Even as a non-believer I agree there is no moral argument for abortion.
