I have a question for those who profess to be pro-life:

Pro-life poeple speak about the evil of abortion; however, you rarely hear them even mention the issue of world hunger. How can this be?

Check out the hunger statistics on this website:

bread.org/learn/hunger-basics/

How can you be pro-life and ignore the needs of millions of children in the world who die of hunger and nutrition-related causes? Doesn’t “pro-life” include children who are already born?
Excuse me, but I am Pro-Life and I work to end abortion. To that end I support my states Right to Life Organization, Birth Right [now called Mother & Child Education Centers], the Father Taaffe Foundation [3 homes for un-wed mothers and their children].

I also support JOIN [an organization that moves homeless individuals and families from the streets into permanent housing - and more successfuly than any governemnt program!], St. Francis Dining Hall, St Vincent de Paul Downtown Chapel and Blanchet House [all three offer meals to the homeless, clothes, showers and other services]. I support a parish where we travel, that offers one meal each week to those who are low income and or just lonely. I support the St Vincent de Paul Conference of my parish.

Overseas: I support Catholic Charities and Peter’s Pence and the Heifer Project all of which provide aide overseas and the Heifer Project is specifically designed to end hunger and poverty. And various other orgainizations. I have personnally traveled to Guatemala on a dental medical mission and to Mexico on a construction mission to assist individuals in need.

As a member of my parish’s Life Group, I can tell you that every one of our members in addition to Life Issues works to alleviate hunger and other social ills each and every week … three of the work at another parish’s [large urban downtown poor parish] Food Pantry …

It is a false accusation to say Pro Life People do not care about hunger, homelessness, medical care or poverty … It is false … just plain false …

**In My Experience most **Pro-Life individuals are in fact caring individuals who donate time money to a host of causes …

No it doesnt. For pro-lifers once you are born you are on your own. 😉
My first thought was that this was the most ridiculous statement I have seen made on here.

After giving it a little thought, I come to the same conclusion, but am very sorry to say that it firms up my belief that some people will say anything to make themselves feel better about being for the killing of the most innocent.

Bull!

Come to Stone County, Arkansas and see how we help young mothers raise their children.

But that’s the standard pro-abortion lie, that somehow the pro-life side “doesn’t care” about the child after it’s born. They always say it, but they never offer any proof – because they haven’t got any.

must be a token gesture.

i think if pro-lifers are as serious about feeding hungry children as they are with arguing, they would actually make a difference in this world.

The problem seems to be with your thinking.

What do you do to help?
Me & my wife are actually sending huge chunks of our income to our starving filipino relatives in Asia. Before 9/11 we also gave $40 a month to World Vision, feeding a muslim child.

And we are pro-choice.

What are YOU doing?

i tell you, i’d rather see fetuses being aborted than actual children dying from hunger.
Incredible. And I thought only abortion doctors had the stomach to sit back and WATCH a human being be mercilessly torn apart until death ensues.
Shame on you also for sitting back and watching children dying from hunger. How about helping to feed them?

Are you doing enough yourself? How big is your house? How many cars do you own?

Pro-lifers should put their money where their mouth is. 😃

No, the problem is this…

What you say simply makes no sense. This is not an either or situation. To tie the 2 together and make it either or is simply ridiculous.

To respond to your utterly silly statement…i’d rather see the unborn not murdered and ALSO not see actual children dying from hunger… as any pro lifer believes.

You are trying to muddy the fact that you are ok with killing the most innocent.

well thats lovely. but its not real. and not gonna be reality anytime soon.

in the meantime while we are addressing world issues, lets try to control population growth. condoms for everyone, and a limited freedom to abort.

I aways think it interesting that people who claim the earth is overpopulated are not themselves willing to set the example and depart early.😛
