Your statement in red above is like saying “pro-choice people could live longer if they exercised more”, the statement is true for everyone.

Where did anyone even hint that statement is wrong???

You see I have met many people in my life. Poor and rich, liberal and conservative no two are totally alike. But the ones that do for others do so without waiting till they can afford it. They go on faith and just help.

This weekend we had friends help us cut dead trees for next years heating. We cut enough so that our home will be warm and we won’t have to worry about the cost of heating oil next year. We are blessed with friends and our needs are being met.

just do what you can, nobody has a right to ask you to more., or expect more. sometimes there are very small thins that cn add up when addes toi what others do to make a big thing. if it is something you feel you should do for example you can write your legislators and remind them of the problem and suggest that you would be willling to take a small increase in your taxes if that were what was necesary to gt the job done. ifit strikes your fancy, you might be able to think of other things.

This “small increase in taxes” would just apply to you, right? Your next door neighbor, who might not be able to afford it, wouldn’t have to pay the increased taxes, right?

If someone wants to donate to the government there is nothing stopping them from doing so. I just think that it is quite presumptive that the liberals in our government want to take and take till there is nothing left for the the middle class to live on and save for the future with. Thus making them dependent on the government for all things.
 
and meanwhile they starve and die…25000 a day. as i said do what you can do nobody can ask for more. yes i will try to raise trtaxes to help them/.your criticism saounds ad though you think im was takknig about the guy ownthe streer here in the usa who might just might have a better chance at life then the 12 year old living in Darfur… reralize that every time you find an excuse to stop being a christian WHEN YOU CAN BE you are killing somebody… then perhaps donating a few pennies wouldnt kill you… if it would hurt you that much, and you cant afford the tie or the money dont do it. nobodys complaining. but you do sound as though god created all the resources in the world equally. seems to me to be a little shortsighted to keep thanking god ffor all the blessings that he has bestowed on this country, and then forget that maybe he didnt do the best job in his distribution system. in short you ar selfish perhaps to the poinjt of allowing 25000 a dy to die. this is christian??? you think jeseu would have said well, ill sacrifice a little and let them raise my taxes for the good of the world. ???by the way i dont really preteend to know what jesus or god would do? seems as though theyvwe had a chance and havent succeeded in doing much except screrw things up pretty well. /

cruel and heartless?

How about explaining to the working poor that worked for years to purchase their home and now the taxes are tooo high for them to pay and also eat that they are cruel and heartless for not wanting to pay more?

If someone has the means to pay extra and desires to pay more. they can give money to anyone and everyone he/she so desires to give toooo.
Just stop giving other people’s money away without making sure it won’t place that person in a place where they have to choose between eating and taxes.
