BlestOne:
Tonks I am sorry if I have offended you it was not my intention. I had a friend that went through the same thing. I am sorry for the pain you suffered as I was my friends pain (she had a nervous breakdown afterwards). But, truth of the matter is… Did you believe them when they told you it was just tissue? Do you have to have an abortion to know it is not right to kill? No you do not. I am very happy that you have recognized that the act was wrong and I celebrate another sheep found and returned to the flock.
Hi BlestOne-

Really, no offense taken. What I allowed done *was * murder. Yes, they used terms like “conception matter” and at that point in time my heart and my head was so far removed from any sense that it refused to connect the term with “life” - it was almost like my whole being was dead. It compells me to ponder and somewhat understand on the possible mind-sets of those among us in society who do choose to commit grave sins. That total removal of oneself from the graces God gives us, and the consequences suffered when one chooses to do so. It was like a “hell on Earth” in my case.

God bless:)

Not a relative, but a friend. My friend had an abortion when she was young, but came to realize the sin she had committed and since repented and has been working strongly for the pro-life movement ever since.

Sadly, even though it has been decades since the tragedy, the effects linger. She cannot discuss it without weeping. She has had trouble carrying a baby to term and suffered many miscarriages. Now she fears letting her grown daughter date because she relates dating to her getting pregnant and killing her first child.

Not only should women be told it’s murdering a real human life, but they should be warned about the trama it causes that lasts the rest of your life!

God, have mercy on all those who support abortion, help them find their way to You and protect all the little ones in danger of abortion! Let us see this tragedy end soon, we ask in the name of Jesus our Savior!

All those who brave sharing their personal experience with it, may God bless and console you! ❤️

Dear Reader,

Somebody asked about why I started this poll, one of the first replies. Sorry I haven’t been here for sometime, but my computer has been down, and I was trying to deal with a personal problem.

I am thirty-five yrs. old. My ex-fiance after I graduated from high school chose an abortion. I was in the hospital with her, and with her parents. I could not stop it, but I tried. It was a long time ago.

I opened up the thread, because I have done some work as a volunteer at a message board for The Center for Bioethical Reform, and I stopped going there; though, I support their campaign to show aborted fetuses, abortuses as they are legally named.

I wanted to bring up the topic to bring back the humanity of not only the unborn, but also of people like myself, and of the women who choose abortion.

For all the words we theologicly use to base our arguements like “murder” and whatever else, I thought that hearing stories; sharing something about it might in some small way “help”.

I don’t know what else I hoped to accomplish, but I am sure glad to see quite a few people have replied, or simply viewed this post. It gives me some comfort that people are reading, and participating in the poll.

It galls me that we as Christians not necessarily Catholic, but whatever–it galls me a bit that we give much attention to many issues that fill many churches, and abortion persists. In some churches, you can set-up a speaker from a foreign country that will tell you–save your own country. Then there is a well-versed in the topic speaker about abortion, say Scott Klusendorf, and he draws in maybe twenty people. It is ok, I mean: I am happy that many show up; nonetheless, I would like to see throngs of people opposing this like a million man march, or something that would be really great.

I’m never satisfied, and sometimes belligerant about this.

Sincerely,

Kristopher
