Now I don’t know much about the Pro-LIfe walk in Washington D.C. I hear that it is a big march for life, always wanted to actually go. (I can make it on my own with my own money thank you). Is anybody going to this walk for life?

I will tentatively attend the March for Life in Washington DC with my parish. It will be my second time marching for life with hundreds of thousands of prolifers from around the country. Many leave for the capital the night before or morning of the March. Along the March you can say the rosary in reparation and an end to abortion. Some will also tell their congressional/senatorial leaders about their stance on current legislation regarding abortion. Many groups will have display stands, banners and or religious imagery along the sides of the route.

This is going to be a big year, since it is the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. I don’t think it’s being held on that actual day since there was a conflict with the Presidential Inaugural. So it’s going to be Friday January 25th this year.

I wanted to go, but I don’t have anyone to go with, and I waited too long to get hotel rooms now.

😦

I wonder whether we’ll see more media attention this year since Time had a huge article about abortion just this week.

Yes, it will be interesting to see if there is any coverage. I looked and looked last year and only on EWTN was there coverage.

Don’t know how far you are from Austin – but maybe – you could consider attending this one.

I encourage everyone to check out local parishes and those in nearby cities…many take a group bus. Some around here are about $100 or so for transportation and Saturday night in a hotel. Not cheap but not overly expensive. It’s probably a bit last minute but worth a try if you’re interested.

Wish I could go…silly college classes. 😦

Also…check out your local statehouse! Many pro-life groups are hosting a local rally in their state! Mine is and it is on a different day than MFL in DC and I might be able to go to the one in my state! We will see!

I am going. My parish is renting busses. It is a bit easier for us though as DC is only a 2 hour drive. This will be my first. I am excited to be going.
