Problem with a tradesmen

the family at the moment has a problem with a trademen. he said he did 6 and a half day worth of work and we paid him for it and after we paind him and took the money he then said some of it is money up front for work he didn’t complete yet and hasn’t come back for about 5 month i think now. also we gave him money to buy some materials he would need also.

my problem is that i am always thinking about him and i tend to fall into day-dreaming. i find my self talking to him or hearing him talk and i start to feel that i am getting angry towards him and i start to say things as if I am argueing with him.

I get annoyed because i dont know weather i have commited a mortal sin with these day dreams. I think it starts as a temptation because the devil knows i start worrying with such things but i get sucked in and i am not thinking i am doing wrong right away. but i do find myslf getting angry and saying things in thought back to him. DO I HAVE ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

Has the family reported this tradesman to the appropriate authorities?

I’d say the best way is to ask him why he is not showing up. You have a right to be assertive

Always inspect the work performed before paying for it. If you had seen that some work had not been completed, the full bill should not have been paid. Have you tried calling the tradesman? If he refuses to return, contact the police. It is considered fraud.
