My wife is very fond of saying that no christian should claim to be religious. Now tthese are some definitions of religious…

re·li·gious var interfaceflash = new LEXICOFlashObject ( “http://cache.lexico.com/d/g/speaker.swf”, “speaker”, “60”, “18”, “http://forums.catholic-questions.org/”, “6”); interfaceflash.addParam(“loop”, “false”); interfaceflash.addParam(“quality”, “high”); interfaceflash.addParam(“menu”, “false”); interfaceflash.addParam(“salign”, “t”); interfaceflash.addParam(“FlashVars”, “soundUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fcache.lexico.com%2Fdictionary%2Faudio%2Fahd4%2FR%2FR0141000.mp3”); interfaceflash.write(); (rĭ-lĭj’əs) Pronunciation Key
adj.

  1. *]Having or showing belief in and reverence for God or a deity.
    *]Of, concerned with, or teaching religion: a religious text.
    *]Extremely scrupulous or conscientious: religious devotion to duty.
    n. pl. religious

    Now is the objection to being “religious” born out of a notion unless you have a “personal” relationship with Jesus that you are not a real christian?

    I was wondering cause the other day on the news some ball player was talking about how he now had a saving faith an was a better man, but later in the interview the anchor asked if it was because of his religious conversion and the player got a little snippy and said it was cause of his faith not religion.

    I don’t know, to me it seems that religious convictions are born out of our faith. I mean if you pray to GOD your being “religious” aren’t you?

that word (official def notwithstanding) is so subjective…I think most people look to see a person’s attitude, whether they live for Christ or for themselves…
