Might anyone know of a good non-religious article that goes into scientific depth arguing the promotion of abstinence rather than condoms, particularly for Africa, Latin America, and the LGBT community? 🤷

Seems to me that it’s self-evident:

With abstinance, there is a 100% chance that STDs cannot be spread.

Are you looking for an article on the failure rate of contraceptives?

That would be great. Also is there any research on the relationship between abstinence and marriage success, and contraception and abortion. It would be interesting to read those articles!

I have already read that the divorce rate for those who use NFP is about 3-4% (something like that  🤷 ). Yet, I don’t know if this research was conducted honestly, verifiably, and replicably. If so, it may show that the current divorce rate in our society is due more to the abandonment at the 1930 Lamberth Conference of the universal Christian prescription against contraception and the advent of no-fault divorce and the glamourization of sexuality in popular culture and the growing association between sex and love, instead of sex and ** love-making** in our society. Maybe Heterosexual marriage on its own, when done right and not blasphemed or sinned in, is a satisfying, healthful, and positive activity, done in imitation of the relationship that God has with the world.
