Catholic guy (syromalabar) getting married to CSI girl (CSI=church of South India; protestant).

The girl wants to convert to Catholicism before getting married and become a Parish member of a SM church; sothat the wedding would be following normal procedure.

What is the procedure for conversion?
How long would it take, if there are any Catechism classes to attend?

Have her talk to the priest. That is the best way. I heard of some protestants converting after a short time. RCIA, etc. can sometimes take a little time, but there are exceptions that can be made.

Yes, the best & easiest way is probably for the engaged couple to visit with the Priest, explain the situation & see how best to go forward

I recently became a member of our RCIA team. At an organizational meeting just last night, our new pastor clarified this issue - a validly baptised Protestant can be received into the Church at any time providing both the priest and candidate believe that the candidate has a full understanding of the faith.

Simple process, girl’s baptism would be verified, then she would make her first confession, be chrismated/confirmed, profess the Catholic faith, and receive Holy Eucharist.
