I know that during weekday mass, it is permissible to omit the Profession of Faith. However, on the past few Sundays, at 2 different parishes, they purposly omitted it. It wasnot due to time saving, it was just eliminated. Is this allowed? Thanks in advance for your help.

Peace

No. According to the GIRM, “68. The Creed is to be sung or said by the priest together with the people on Sundays and Solemnities. It may be said also at particular celebrations of a more solemn character.” Someone else will chime in if I’m missing something, and I think (although I can’t find a reference), that if, for instance, there’s a baptism, then the Creed can be replaced by the congregational renewal of baptismal promises.
