Thanks so much whatevergirl, your post has a lot of valuable information in it. Thank you for being so understanding and sensitive. This is a really big issue for me, and something I’m struggling with. Everyone, please keep me in your prayers.
You’re welcome.🙂

It would be easy for me to tell you…‘hey, just find a Catholic girl to marry.’ lol 😃 But, there are many interfaith marriages that work, and probably what makes them work, is the prework/communcations that was done before the two married. Worshipping God…following Christ…through the Catholic faith, needs to be paramount – and so for raising children, it would be a natural extension of what you already believe to be paramount in your life. Perhaps phrase questions to your potential wife in this way…‘will you feel a pull to want to introduce your kids to Hinduism?’ ‘Will you be able to worship alone, and without me and the kids, should we get married?’ See, those types of questions are really putting things front and center to your potential wife. The reality is, if you are Catholic…your wife will be worshipping alone…will be practicing alone. That is something that might be tough on her too, and knowing that before going into marriage, would be a good firststep. I have seen more people I know convert – than remain separate, largely because practicing their faith alone was painful, and because being exposed to Catholicism really took hold of their souls, than the religion they were following. Just my two cents worth!🙂
