What promise or promises is St. Paul meaning in Romans?
In other words, what are the promises that the Gospel fulfills?
Thanks!

Rom 4:13 “It was not through the law that the **promise **was made to Abraham and his descendants that he would inherit the world, but through the righteousness that comes from faith.”What promise or promises is St. Paul meaning in Romans?

I’d love to participate in your thread. I don’t know anything specifically about a promise like the last poster offered, but that doesn’t stop me from having opinions.Any more help?
I’d like to hear your personal opinion, not necessarily someone you quote, as to what this mean by a promise to an incarnation.I was looking for Biblical passages that joined the Promise to the Incarnation.
Amen!We are truly freed from sin–not merely declared innocent, but actually innocent. That is when God’s promise is completed. Then I am justified. I am evidence that He kept His word (justice of God, I am justified).
It is extremely difficult to articulate.
He gives us new hearts and pours His love into our new hearts. We are new creations.
His love works through faith (Gal. 5: 6)
Faith without love is nothing (I Cor. 13: 4-7).
We receive the breastplate of righteousness and it is composed of love and faith.
Notice God’s love works through our faith? For example, Jesus told the woman, “woman, your faith has saved you.” If we let ourselves be clay, the Potter will shape us into what we can become.Righteousness has two parts according to St. Paul–love and faith.
