Some time before, when I didn’t knew, that it is better for us to don’t promise anything, (if I understood that right, while I rode The Holy Bible) I gaved one or more promises to God. I’m not sure that I REALLY promised, maybe I’ve just determined to do that or that, I think I can’t remember it well. So, now, it’s maybe hard to me to keep those promises. And again, maybe I’m just bored, tired, or just don’t wan’t to keep those promises. Some time ago, it was, I think hard time for me, so I’ve broke those promises maybe even not only one,few, but maybe even a lot of times.
So my questions are: Is that was sins, that I broked those promises, if I couldn’t keep them, or was bored or tired? And, can I cancel those promises? If yes, how? Please, answer me. Thanks in advance.

We are all human and we all fall. God knows your heart and knows if you are trying to be good. I would go to confession and explain this to a priest and ask for guidance.
 
Ditto on seeking the counsel of a priest in or out of Confession.

Details matter. Minor promises broken do not have the same effect of a major promise broken. Our awareness of what we were comitting ourselves to do or not do also matters. Did we think it through well enough and did circumstances allow us or prevent us from carrying out the promise?

Or were we haphazard in making a promise we should not have made?

Details matter. Talk it over with a Priest. There is forgivness in Confession and grace for better efforts in the future.
 
Dear remed,

Our God is not a deal maker and our prayers need to be for higher purposes such as:

help me to love you more
help me to understand and grow in my faith
help me to become pleasing to you
help me to be a better provider for my family

Doing this will help you much more than trying to cut a deal with the Lord. I hope you understand. These types of requests will bring you closer to God and His Grace.

I think you need to discuss with your priest so he can further help you understand how to model your prayer life. He can tell you if this is a matter for confession.

If you are failing to deliver you might have a problem requiring professional help also – drugs or drinking too much – these are just examples so don’t get offended if that isn’t the case.

Start Praying the Rosary daily and our Blessed Mother will pull you closer to Jesus. Visit Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and talk with Him. Attend extra Masses. You get the idea.

PAboy57’s response is excellent. It got me thinking again.

God knows we are imperfect and that we struggle, sometimes mightly, to be the person we ought to be.

God IS with us in our struggles, even if we don’t realize it. God asks of us a SIMPLE FAITH: Jesus, I love. Help me.

Along with the Memorare, I love the prayer to St Michael:

Holy Michael, the Arc Angel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, cast into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who roam through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

As for past failures, please seek out a priest and talk with him.
