Pronounce a Saint Name?

Couldn’t decide where this should be posted. Hope I choose the correct place.

How would you pronounce the saint name Laserian? I have found 2 different ways to say the name and am curious as to which is the correct one. The forums always have good answers so it dawned on me today I should have started here for an answer!

I would say it “Lah-sair-rian”, with emphasis on the “sair”.

I would tend towards, Isca’s pronunciation with the possible exception of the third syllable being “eean” without carrying over the r from the second syllable. In practice they would sound nearly identical.

Irish, mid-7th century. I have no idea, but I would lean toward Isca’s conjecture.

Thanks everyone. The way Isca wrote out the pronounciation is one of the ways I have heard it said.

The other way ended up not being the same name. It was actually an older version of the name. The older version is Laisren. Which I was told is pronounced Laz - wren. Anyone know if that pronounciation is correct?
