Nah breah? But I’m Australian so who knows how my pronunciation sounds …😁
That’s how I’ve said mentally in my head when I’ve seen it on CAF, except it’s more “nab-breah”. And part of the argument is that the New American Bible’s NAB is pronounced “nab” so add “re” to it.

In speech, I say “N-A-B-R-E”, or else “N-A-B Revised Edition.”

But in my head, I say “nay-bur”. 😉

Think sabre (US spelling saber), which is of course pronounced say-bur, then change the s to an n and you’ll see my point. Sabre. Nabre. They rhyme.
Reminds me of this clip from “The Office”

“Today is a good day / For Dunder-Mifflin and Sah-Bray…I mean, Sabre…”

🤣 That’s hilarious! Goes to show that my concern (about the pronunciation of NABRE) is legitimate. Surely we wouldn’t want this kind of awkwardness in church.
Same for the RSV, ESV, KJV, and all the other Bible editions.
At my parish these are pronounced “rizzuv”, “ezzuv”, and “kuh-juv” respectively. So no confusion there. But “NABRE” remains a source of confusion 😉
