Hi all,
I’m writing a research paper based on the topic of life after death and I need help finding websites or articles that might scientifically support life after death. I figured asking you guys would be a good idea as many you have probably done your own share of exploring for said proof. Any websites you can think of would be much appreciated!

The greatest proof of life after death is the risen Lord. The apostles who witnessed it-- and died defending their testimony-- are far more credible than anything you’ll find on the Internet.

Not everyone believes that though, there must be a more rational way of proving it (even if that is the truth). Basically I can’t just stamp that kind of answer and say it’s all good, they want detailed information that could realistically prove there’s life after death.

What’s not rational about it–the fact that people don’t come back from the dead? If that’s your starting point, then why bother doing this research? It sounds like you have your answer already.

What kind evidence of life after death would your readers consider rational and convincing?

I’m sorry, but if you’re looking for scientific, peer-reviewed proof that life after death exists, you’re not going to find it. We believe, not because of proof (for I, unlike St. Thomas, have not actually touched the nail wounds of the Risen Christ), but because of faith.

There might be no way to scientifically prove it to the satisfaction of a rationalist. Even the many accounts of NDEs are dismissed as vestigial consciousness at the moment of death before the patient is brought back.

There are recorded reports of near-death experiences, so instead of looking for proof of life after death, maybe you can look for the reports of people who “died,” saw a tunnel, a light, etc.

Whether or not that’s proof is up to the reader.

The human afterlife if any, does not take place in a “physical” body as we understand the term. Therefore, scientific proof of human afterlife does not and probably cannot exist.

This is something that you must research for yourself,
If you know people that work in nursing homes or hospitals , then those people could share there personal experiences , there is no real physical proof that you can hold in your hands
And examine ,

Rationally,we prove that there is a spiritual reality, there is a spiritual soul, there are spiritual concepts proceeding from a spiritual power called human intelligence. I f you look to empirical science the only reality they know is material They do not transcend to the spiritual. Being spiritual means material forces can not destroy what is spiritual. Logically then life after death is very reasonable, but outside of Faith, and some special experiences I doubt if you will find positive proof of life after death. In the Catholic Church we know of people who have died and brought back to life, but again that involves Faith. Also people have had spiritual encounters, I for one. So I do speak from experience, and so have others. We as Christian Catholics definitely believe in life after death coupled with what we know from reason.

Amazon.com ebooks or paperback available
Read howard shore’s near death experience.
Read Gloria Polo’s near death experience.
Read the book Heaven is For Real

Look up the apparitions of Our Lady in Medjugorje, Our Lady has been appearing there daily for 32 years and still is appearing, there have been 532 scientifically proved miracles there, 2 of the visionaries were physically taken to Heaven for 20minutes
Conversions of people coming back to the church, miracle of the sun in the sky, people seeing or hearing Our Lady during her apparitions,
And… It is all pointing to Jesus. People there go to mass twice a day if they can, confession, daily adoration, … She points to her Son always

There is no possible way for you to ever convince anyone that there is life after death.

If there were scientific evidence proving life after death, then the number of Christians
would increase exponentially. After all, if there were scientific evidence proving life
after death, there would be very, very few atheists.

There are many people in the present age who have been allowed to see the afterlife, to include hell. The testimony of Bill Weise comes to mind. Personally, I was an atheist until I died and left my mortal body and was brought to the entrance of hell, but the Lord allowed me to return to the land of the living. I am obviously no longer an atheist and know that there is an afterlife, either in heaven or in hell, but God gives us a free will choice to accept or reject His son Jesus.

As another poster already noted, you will not find peer reviewed journal articles supporting life-after-death because it cannot be empirically quantified. There are only qualitative or anecdotal death experiences which are not making it into scientific journal articles. Nonetheless, here is a non-refereed article.

The devil loves science because life-after-death cannot be proven scientifically. It is accepted by faith in the Word of God (scriptures). However, that belief is foolishness to the world (1 Cor. 1:18). Also, Jesus said that even if one returns from the dead, the world will not believe his testimony (Luke 16:19-31).

Read ‘Life After Consiousness’ by Pim van Lommel. A doctors 20? year study of NDE’s.

Nurses have a few ghost stories to tell.

personalghoststories.wordpress.com/category/nursing/

You can do your own searches on “near death experiences”, “apparitions of loved ones”, “clocks stopping when someone dies”, etc.

I know there’s life after death because the night my own father died, he appeared in my bedroom He started with an apology for a lifetime of deliberate cruelty, we argued and talked, and at the end he gave this almighty scream and promptly disappeared.

By the same token, I know there’s a judgment as well. But I can’t prove it. He was terrified to the core.

On the other hand, when “my old pastor” died around 3am in the morning, this very distinct sense of peace descended on me for about 30 minutes. I’ve had the same sense of peace at times when other people have died, but his death stood out from all the rest. It was easily the most distinct sense of peace I’ve had due to someone dying.

He’s also turned up briefly in a few visions since he died, always with some pertinent advice. He says what he’s going to say, and then just disappears.

I’ve had other personal spiritual experiences, so there’s no doubt in my mind that God exists, that Christ is the truth, and that there is a spiritual world, including angels, the devil and demons.

But I can’t prove it. They’re personal, non-repeatable experiences.

Personally I think God’s going to drive us off the planet, and that we’ll learn to teleport.

I gave a speech at a Toastmasters “Conference” a few weeks ago, on this very topic of rocketry vs. teleporting. I made the point that rocketry was too slow, too expensive and too risky, and pointed out space tourism was risky venture given for example that 50% of Mars rocket shots don’t get there. I used the words “Heads you win, tails you die”.

A little under two weeks after my speech, one of the Virgin space tourism rockets blew up, killing the co-pilot and severely injuring the pilot. It was a 50% fatality rate in a space tourism project.

Why am I saying this? I believe that we’ll learn to quantum teleport material items long before we manage to teleport living creatures. For the simple reason that we will find that all living creatures have a soul, which can’t be quantized. But sooner or later, our physics gurus will find a way around that, and then space settlement will be a real possibility.

It will also be the complete and utter end of atheism.

Read Proof of Heaven, A Neurosurgeon’s Journey into the Afterlife by Eben Alexander. This guy didn’t really believe any of this stuff until it happened to him. He was very ill, and his brain waves “flatlined” for quite a period of time.

Very interesting reading.

Well. My parents hadn’t come back to tell me what it’s like, 😃
