Greetings to all. This is my first visit. I am not Catholic but have got tired through the years of the brutal accusations against Catholics in the form of claiming the Pope will one day be the Antichrist. The myth and accusation that the Pope will one day be the Antichrist has its roots in religious misconceptions and possibly bias and prejiduice. It has contributed greatly to discord and a lack of unity among many Christians that have very powerful common ground in Jesus Christ and the Cross of Calvary. With Gods help, I have produced a book against this for the sake of the unity of the Body of Christ. I have demonstrated from the scriptures why it will never happen. The introduction of the book is given at newlife333.com/pope.html Now, I know there is no doubt in a Catholics mind that the Pope can never fill this role but as you come across this accusation from non-Catholics please feel free to share my URL with them. Also please pray for me to have the direction and wisdom to know how and where to promote this book. Not all Protestants believe this, but those that do, unfortunatly, make much noise about it. I feel blessed to hopefully have a hand in ending this “false witness” and strife. Gods blessings to you all. WP

ADMIN EDIT: The title of the book is “Biblical Proof the Catholic Pope Will Never Be the Antichrist

**Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of GOD **Mt. 5:9

Blessed are you William!

God bless you! I read the site, and hope to get the book as well. Thank you so much. I hope you can alsao join in the other discussions here as well.

William, you are literally a Godsend! This is a must read. I’m going to use your link often. Thank you! 🙂

Many thanks for the encouragement. It is greatly appreciated. 🙂

I don’t mean to be rude or anything like that, but does this book, or this idea has any form of rapture-doctrine included in it? Because I have been reading and meditating Carl E. Olson’s book, Will Catholics Be " Left Behind", and in page 171 last paragraph it says it was the protestant’s doctrine who influenced the policy makers to achieve the great event of May, 1948.

Ricardo, I have not mentioned the “Rapture” in this book. I have touched very briefly and lightly on the scriptural fact that there is a definite presence of Christians on earth at the time of the Tribulation. From Revelation ch. 5 through Rev. ch. 18 there are 9 scriptural references to Believers, Saints, those that keep Gods Commandments, etc, etc…( page 62 “Biblical Proof The Catholic Pope Will Never Be The Antichrist”)
This goes hard against the grain of the “Pre-tribulation rapture” concept but… I didnt write the Bible ;) and its definitly there. The timing of the "Rapture" is of great debate in the Protestant world itself. There are great arguments over a pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib rapture. While it is a scriptural subject, I have basically stayed away from it. If the "left behind" series ( which I have not read) promotes a Pre-Tribulation rapture, then the 9 references to Believers in the Bible from Rev 5 to Rev 18 will obviously contest this. My advice to anyone not familiar with the "Rapture of the Church" doctrine is...dont be overly concerned, you havent missed anything but maybe some Protestants arguing among themselves.Im not making light of a Biblical subject…its just that the timeing of any end-time event belongs to the Lord Jesus and HIM ALONE so let us serve and seek Him with all our hearts and He will take care of the rest. 🙂

I have not read the book you mentioned but the very title infers to me “Catholics do not belong to Jesus Christ” or maybe “Catholics are not Christians” . It sounds like more prejudice against Catholics. Please correct me if I`m wrong.I would be curious to know ?Blessings,WP

Mostly Mr. Olsen (scripturally) debunks the myth purported by the men who wrote the “Left Behind” books that Catholics are certain to be left behind because they - not Mr. Olsen – think we are not of Jesus or His Church.

Also, please don’t assume that Catholics don’t read their Bibles. Some of us don’t quote scripture by verse – like me an incredibly dyslexic person when it comes to numbers. That doesn’t mean we don’t have familiarity with the Bible – we do interpret it more literally than you might believe, too.

The book will cathoics Be “Left Behind”? is a critique to the dispensationlist movement. The dispensationlist movement is based on dividing “scriptural events” related to prophecy. The heart of this “doctrine” is the non-relation between Israel and the church. Since Israel has to suffer the Great Tribulation while the church participates in the wedding of the lamb, May of 1948 clearly announces “the end of times”.

If there is a belief that Catholics are not Christians is through dispensationalists. The reason is because the Catholic doctrine has never preached any form of pessimistic “end of the world.” In fact, the Catholic Church makes no distinction on ethnicity in terms of salvation.

Would you say the “left behind” series is anti-Jewish?

That’s a great accomplishment…definitely addressing a need and working towards greater Christian unity. Congratulations!

I also like the clear thought and reason brought to the issues of tribulation and the rapture. I heard Jerry Jenkins speak to a group of writers in Seattle a couple of years ago and conlcuded that I like that guy. That doesn’t mean, however, that I agree with his sensational take on end-times, as influenced by Tim LaHaye.

Not anti-jewish, but it separates the Church from the Jews because that is what it does. An example of this separation comes from Scolfield’s work Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth.

William P,

Don’t get me wrong, I like your style. The only thing that got me thinking was the way May of 1948 is mentioned in this book.
