St Malachy made no prophecy what so ever…
Someone ‘found’ the prophecy in the late 1600’s. Amazingly this prophecy ‘predicted’ with great detail all popes between Malachy, and the ‘discovery’ of the prophecy…
Curiously though, the predictions have been so vague for popes AFTER its discovery that you can always attribute the Pope to what ever prophecy he is suppose to correspond to…
The Prophecy is nothing more than a hoax. The person who discovered it either wrote it himself, or was tricked by the one who wrote it.
It is often a prophecy used by people opposed to the Catholic Church since supposedly the Anti-Christ will come from a Peter 2. If a Pope did turn out to be the Beast, it would mean that the CC is NOT the church founded by Christ…

We’ll probably find out within our lifetime! Malachi said the next Pope will be our last.
Me, I’m keeping an open mind about it, but not living my life by it. The current Pope was said to be called the Glory of the Olive. He chose the name Benedict. Benedictines are also called Olivetians.
It could be coincidence or could not be coincidence.

Even if you believe the prophecy to be authentic, it’s not clear what it says.
The list ends with one more Pope after Benedict and a rather vague statement about Peter the Great and…
Then what?
