Proper Way to Phrase Intentions

When I pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy (or any other prayer, such as the Rosary, where I can make it for the intentions of someone or something), what is the proper way to make the intention clear?

For example, if I wanted to pray for the intentions of the Holy Father, do I simply say:

“I am praying this Chaplet for the intentions of the Holy Father.”

EDIT: Also, if I am seeking a Plenary Indulgence, is that what I have to do? What does it mean to pray for the intentions of the Holy Father? What does that entail?

If it was for the intentions of another person, do I say:

“I am praying this Chaplet for the intentions of _______________ (person’s name).”

And for something (i.e. on Friday, I am meeting with a representative of the Comboni Missionaries and I hope it is successful and that I can start as a lay missionary in September/October), would I say:

“I am praying this Chaplet for the intentions of the upcoming meeting with Fr. Dave of the Comboni Missionary, that it would be fruitful and that I could start work as a lay missionary in the fall.”

Are all these forms okay/valid?

God knew before you were born what your prayer intent was each time you pray.I think that your question is a good one tho for our OWN peace of mind.It also helps us to organise and formalise our prayers.

When I pray for the intentions of the Holy Father after communion and before a crucifix I pray an Our Father,Hail Mary,and Glory Be for the mission of the current Pontiff.
