Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could tell me the proper wording and puncuation…

The holy sacrament of Matrimony?
The sacrament of holy matrimo
Or any other combo??
Does any one know?

Thanks,
Tasha

The Catechism says “Sacrament of Matrimony”. All sacraments are holy, so “Holy Sacrament of Matrimony” could be said, I suppose.

(Capitalization is up to you – The Catechism varies. Sometimes Uppercase ‘S’, sometimes lowercase ‘s’, but always Uppercase ‘M’ when used in that phrase)

If you’re doing a wedding invitation, you might get a respectful and definitive answer from an etiquette book.

The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

The more common usage:

The Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage.
