Prophecies of Saint Malachy

I heard today that there was an old prophecy that said that our next pope was going to be the last pope. Of course, with prophesies you always have to be careful. I called someone who has a strong background in the Catholic faith, and he said that one problem with it is that it apeared about 400 years after the saint had died, and it was pretty vague, like most horoscopes. I did some research into it, but am still a little confused on the prophesies of St. Malachy. Can someone please inform me?
